Elagabalus, 218-222. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.05 g, 1 h), uncertain mint in the East, 219. IMP ANTONINVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. SPEI PERPETVAE Spes advancing left, holding flower in her right hand and raising her skirt with her left. BMC 313. Cohen 273. RIC 199. Thirion 367. Lightly toned and with a lovely eastern portrait. Very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
